Football Schedule

Football season never ends here in Gator Land.  As soon as one season is completed we are already looking forward to what the next season will bring.

2015 was pretty successful.  This was the first year under Jim McElwain and we ended up 10-4 overall, 7-1 in the SEC.

Obviously winning the East and playing for the conference championship is the goal every year, but before the season began not many people thought we had what it took to compete with Georgia and Tennessee.

Alabama was a little too much for us to handle and Michigan wasn’t pretty.  This offense needs to turn things around in 2016 if we are going to use last year as a building block.  Otherwise people are going to think it was some kind of fluke.

The coaching seat is always warm down here in Gainesville, and it’s not going to be any different for McElwain.  Fans still remember the glory days of Spurrier and Meyer.  They want another coach who can deliver national titles like that.

I like how our schedule plays out this year.  We have to go to Tennessee which will be difficult, but we get LSU at home.  We miss Alabama and Ole Miss.  Going to Florida State is always difficult, but hopefully we will be looking good by that point and can use that success to propel us to another victory.

I’m going to try to do an in-depth preview before every single game this year.  I’ll break down what the matchups will be, where we should have the advantage, and where we might have a disadvantage.

Closer to the season I’ll take a look at all of the odds to win the conference and national title and let you know if I think any of the teams in our conference offer an opportunity to profit.  It’s all about value baby!
